As said already, the Chris Lighty tribute was about the best thing to get out of the BET Hip Hop awards but there were other performances. After two hours of wondering what the hell was going on at the BET Hip Hop Awards, the Chris Lighty tribute brought something everyone could relate to. When you see A Tribe Called Quest going in… That’s enough to get you out of your seat off respect. This was probably the only thing the BET awards did right and it couldn’t have been a better cause showing respect to the legend Chris Lighty.
