Three women that had been abducted and held in captivity for ten years were found alive in the city of Cleveland. Amanda Berry, 27; Gina DeJesus, 23; and Michelle Knight, 32 were found safely after a screaming Amanda Berry caught the attention of Charles Ramsey, a man who lives in the Westside neighborhood of Cleveland where the women were held.

Kobe Bryant made a promise to fans that the Lakers would make the playoffs while being outside of the playoff picture in the strong Western Conference. The season had changed from a bleak outlook to Kobe playing 48 minute games willing his team to victory fighting for the last spot of the playoffs. Last night in Staples Center the unthinkable happened as Kobe suffered a probable Achilles tendon tear which would end his season and possibly his career.
