UPDATE: Pastor Killed During Revival Was Having Affair With Shooter’s Wife
The man who walked into a church and killed a pastor knew exactly what he was doing; the pastor was allegedly sleeping with wife.
Now it gets a little tricky, so pay attention.
53-year-old Woodrow Karey walked in a Lake Charles church and shot and killed Pastor Ronald Harris Sr in Tabernacle of Praise Worship Center in Lake Charles, Louisiana. Two days prior, Karey’s wife filed a rape complaint against the pastor.
Karey was once good friends with the pastor, but that changed about a week ago. “[A week before the actual shooting, Karey] stated that he had received some inappropriate images from his wife to Pastor Harris,” Sheriff Mancuso said. “Then, evidently, he confronted his wife and she filed a rape charge against Pastor Harris on Wednesday, September 25.”
She sent inappropriate images to the pastor….her husband found out….she filed rape charges. Hmm…
After the shooting, Karey initially fled but later turned himself in and led authorities to the gun. “There’s a lot of speculation as to what took place and the motive in this case and I’m going to tell you that we are going to proceed with great caution in this investigation,” he said. “You have so many rumors going on that it sometimes clouds the water for our investigation.”
There are a lot of rumors that the pastor was involved with more than one woman at the church, but authorities say their main focus is on the texts sent between Karey’s wife and the pastor.
While the texts are reportedly sexual in nature, it’s unclear at this point whether the relationship was consensual or if assault occurred.
