The Game is Coming Out With a Christian Album…?
The Game is probably one of the last rappers anyone would believe is doing a Christiran album, but he is! Guess what he’s naming it….
The West Coast rapper has had his share of beefs, including one in which he recorded himself beating up another rapper, and has never really shied away from controversy. So this whole Christian album thing seems a bit left field.
In an interview with Jenny Boom Boom, Game revealed his new found religion, and how it’s affected the title of his album, and how his music has changed.
And it was all because of Kanye West…?
Game’s naming his new album Jesus Piece, and explains that you can be Christian and “still get it poppin.”
“I’m calling it Jesus Piece ‘cause last year in August I got baptized and so I’ve been going to church, but I still been kinda doing me out here. I still love the strip club and I still smoke and drink. I’m faithful to my family, so I wanted to make an album where you could love God and be of God, but still get it poppin’ in your life.”
“I called in Kanye and he gave me some ideas and we had done a song called ‘Jesus Piece’ on my original album and so once I switched the title, I just kept that song and ‘Celebration,’ and I then redid all the rest of the songs to fit the concept of Jesus Piece.”
Oh.
So the concept is that you can be Christian, but still go to strip clubs, smoke, and drink…? #OkayDen
