Breaking: Miami Dolphins Release Chad Johnson
It was all good just a week ago. The Miami Dolphins are highlighted on HBO’s Hard Knocks for their training camp and what better fit than Chad Johnson to reel the cameras his way? It seemed perfect, right? No longer will this be the case as the Miami Dolphins have ended Johnson’s long weekend of jail from domestic violence with cutting him from the team on Sunday night.
What happened Chad? Do we start with marrying someone you met off of Twitter? Who’s to judge when love is everywhere? Chad Johnson, a man known for many tactics on the field, never once was in trouble off the field. No longer can he claim that title as he was arrested on Saturday night for alleged domestic violence against his reality star wife Evelyn Lozada. Maybe this is the opening attraction of reality life.
Finding his way back onto the field from a horrible outing as a Patriots wide receiver last year, Chad was written off as dumb and lazy not being able to grasp the playbook and missing timely catches. Back home. Chad Johnson’s hometown is Miami, and Miami was suppose to be a clean start. No longer would he have to ask for the ball, being the number one receiver for a team trying to contend for a playoff spot and after all, he was back home. Who would’ve thought Chad would get into trouble in Miami of all places?
The Miami Dolphins haven’t even waited for the second game of the pre-season to know they had to cut ties with Chad because of the distraction. Being a good player at the wide receiver position will ultimately land Chad another job before or during the season, but he has to be saying, damn at how quickly things can change.
