James Brown’s Daughter Arrested for Theft and Assault!
When you’re the child of a deceased famous entertainer, you should try your best to stay out of trouble. Or at least comb your hair before you take your mugshot picture. Woo! James Brown’s daughter Venisha has been arrested for theft and assault.
North Augusta Public Safety has issued warrants against Brown for possession of a stolen vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident and first-degree assault and battery.
The Augusta Chronicle reports that police responded to the accident scene around 9am Monday, where they found Hope Ellis Campbell, 46, of Grovetown, with injuries.
Campbell found ole Venisha – her employee, by the way – in a brown Chevy Suburban stolen from St. Stephen Ministries on Greene Street on Sunday. She tried to gain control of the vehicle and was subsequently injured.
She tried to grab the keys out of the SUV, but Brown accelerated, “dragging Campbell into and over the hood of another vehicle parked near the Suburban.”
Deputies recovered the stolen car early Tuesday morning at approximately 1am. They were later called to an altercation in the 500 block of Broad Street, where they found Brown arguing with another woman.
