RIP: Rodney King Dead at 47

Rodney King’s fiancee Cynthia Kelley has said that King had been drinking alcohol and smoking weed all day Saturday.
According to Kelley, Rodney had been drinking all day and smoked that day, up until she went to sleep at 2am.
The next time Kelley saw King, it was 5am and he was naked, screaming and banging on the glass. She called out to him “What’s wrong, Rodney?”
Then she went to grab the phone, heard a big splash, discovered him in the pool, then called police.
Paramedics tried unsuccessfully to revive him.

Rodney King, most famously known for the injustice he suffered at the hands (and batons) of the LAPD, has passed away. He was 47.
His fiancee found him at the bottom of his pool at his Rialto, Ca home.
The police responded to the call and tried to resuscitate in vain. He was pronounced dead around 6am PST.
King more recently appeared on “Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew” and “Sober House” as he tried to get his life together while dealing with alcoholism and drug use.
Authorities say they will open an investigation.
