Black Thought and Kid Rock joined Gym Class Heroes’ Travie McCoy on stage to tribute Beastie Boys.
Last night, Beastie Boys were officially inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame during the annual induction ceremony.
To tribute the trio, Black Thought, Kid Rock and Gym Class Heroes’ Travie McCoy took the stage in matching green-and-white Adidas tracksuits to perform cuts from the group’s catalogue. During the set, they ran through “No Sleep Till Brooklyn,” “So What Cha Want,”
“Sabotage” and “The New Style,” while The Roots’ ?uestlove hopped on the drums to accompany the rappers.
Chuck D and LL Cool J were on hand to induct the Beaties into the Hall of Fame. Michael “Mike D” Diamond and Adam “Ad-Rock” Horovitz were at the ceremony, but read a speech by Adam “MCA” Yauch, who was not in attendance.
